A great journaling app, pity they destroyed it with 3.0
Moments Classic has been one of my favorite apps for the past 7 years. Flexible and intuitive, it made cataloging my travels, my social media postings, and just life in general much much easier. Then recently, they created a brand new version, Momento 3. As someone used to journaling a certain way, knowing what I could do with the app and what I couldn’t do, Momento 3 just did not do it for me: nowhere near the functionality as the classic version! Fine, others starting out may want the flashier interface of Momento 3 and never know what functionality they are missing. I can still use this version and be happy, or so I thought. But for some reason, features were crippled in the Momento Classic version and the app was almost immediately abandoned from a support perspective. It’s a shame that the long time users are given the choice of migrating to a pretty-much brand new app that doesn’t do half of what the current app does, or choose to continue down the eventual dead end of this app. I may just move to the DayOne app and start anew, because the awful, awful Momento 3 is not an option.
